The expansion of the Engineering Department means we are now looking to recruit new Furnace Project Engineering Manager in Visé, Belgium and reporting to the Head of Technology.

- Can you design and implement plant specific furnace projects, for brownfield or greenfield?
- Can you manage Furnace projects of 1M€ to 10M€ value?
- Can you work closely with the customer, understanding their needs and discussing options?
- Can you lead a successful project team?
- Can you autonomously manage all aspects of a project, including risk assessments, issue resolutions, stakeholder management and finance control
- Do you enjoy working with others to inspire, mentor and lead them to success?
As Furnace Project Engineering Manager, you'd be managing the installation, running and upgrading of our production furnaces on several sites, while spending 30% of your time travelling to our other plants based in EMEA & APAC.
What you’ll be doing:
You'll be overseeing all aspects of our furnace projects, including:
- Project Set Up: Feasibility study, Scope and budget, Equipment technical descriptions, Process diagrams, layouts, detailed design, interfaces
- Project Planning and tendering for supplier selection
- Project Management: Construction and commissioning support, acceptance and performance tests, budget control.
What we’d love for you to have:

We're looking for someone who is autonomous, proactive, communicates easily and assertively, and who's good at multi-tasking.
If you have experience in the following areas – this is an added advantage:
- Engineer with good knowledge of mechanical, thermal, process and glass systems.
- Experience in glass furnace process.
- At least 5 years of experience in the management of technical projects
- Strong experience in an Industrial sector.
- Experienced with multi-cultural, international and matrix organizations
- Good understanding of control systems.
- Having a good knowledge of computer software tools (AutoCAD, 3D modeling, Navisworks, MS office, …)
- Language: Fluent in English. Any other language is a plus (French, German, …);
