The expansion of the Engineering Department means we are now looking to recruit a new P&ID Coordinator, to be located in Visé, Belgium reporting to the GMW Technology Manager.
Can you say ‘yes’?...
- Can you own the full P&ID lifecycle across multiple projects—from initial setup to as‑built capture and archiving?
- Can you coordinate internal teams and external partners, managing standards, technical reviews, and contractual aspects to deliver compliant, on‑time P&IDs?Can you ensure rigorous, complete P&ID content and seamless integration into collaborative platforms, enabling clear communication across piping, E&I, technology, and construction engineering?
- Can you drive continuous improvement of P&ID processes, balancing workload and resources to meet Knauf Insulation’s quality, timing, and efficiency targets?
As the P&ID Coordinator, you'd be the end‑to‑end owner of P&IDs, steering every phase for new builds and existing plants, aligning diverse stakeholders, guaranteeing compliance with project/design milestones, and evolving methods and tools—so projects move from concept to as‑built with accuracy, speed, and full traceability.
What you’ll be doing:
• The P&ID coordinator is in charge of the full lifecycle for all the P&IDs on every projects.
• The full lifecycle for a new project comprises the management of :
o P&ID initial setup either based on a reference for greenfield or based on a plant survey if greenfield
o P&ID updates based on the recommendations of the technology engineers
o Ensuring a complete and thorough content of the P&ID for technical reviews
o Ensure the full compliance in terms of quality and timing with respect to the project/design lifecycle.
o Ensure the asbuilt picture is well captured at the end of the project
o Ensure all those steps and related documents are properly integrated into the collaborative platform and archiving system.
• The P&ID coordinator may also be involved into implementing himself the P&IDs
• The management of this lifecycle may require the support of internal and/or external/third parties. The P&ID coordinator is in charge of managing all the stakeholders involved in the achievement of the P&ID lifecycle according to the standard of Knauf Insulation, including all the related contractual aspects.
• Responsible for the proper implementation of the P&ID content to meet the project deadlines.
• Responsible for assessing the workload related to the projects and put in place the appropriate staffing/organization to meet the project deadlines on quality.
• Owner of the process to implement P&IDs. This includes being force of proposition to always adapt and consider continuous improvements to keep it at the highest standard of efficiency.
• Gain a clear and thorough understanding of the production processes to enable efficient and challenging approaches with the technology engineers.
• Guarantee the P&ID process and standards are well applied across the different engineering offices in the company.
• Guarantee the proper communication between all engineering parties using P&IDs (piping engineers, E&I Engineers, Technology engineers, Construction engineers,…)

What we’d love for you to have:
We are interested in you as a person; your attitude, behaviours and values. As long as you have the willingness to learn anything you need for the role that you don't already have, we'd love to speak to you. We’re seeking a Master-level (or equivalently experienced) engineer or designer who comfortably bridges theory and hands-on practice, leads and trains teams, and is fully proficient with Autodesk Suites and P&ID implementation (including Smart P&IDs). You are curious about production processes and eager to advance beyond the current state of the art, highly professional and independent, organized and tenacious, able to manage details without losing the big picture, and driven by a proactive “get it done” mindset.
If you have experience in the following areas – this is an added advantage:
- Computer literate and full proficient with Autodesk Suites
- Demonstrated experience in implementing P&ID drawings
- Smart P&IDs
