The expansion of the Engineering Department means we are now looking to recruit a new Construction Manager and reporting to the Head of Project Management. 
This role requires extended on-site presence at construction locations, often for long periods, to oversee and manage daily operations effectively.

- Can you Leading diverse construction teams and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards?
 - Can you solve complex on-site challenges, coordinating with engineers, architects, and subcontractors to keep construction running smoothly?
 - Can you enforce strict safety protocols, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations?
 - Can you manage resources efficiently, optimizing budgets, and delivering exceptional results for large-scale construction projects?
 
As Site Construction Managers, you'd be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, supervising construction teams, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and company policies
What you’ll be doing:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and implement detailed construction plans and schedules.
 - Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved.
 - Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
 - Monitor and control project costs to stay within budget.
 - Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency
 
- Supervise and manage on-site construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers.
 - Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
 - Conduct regular site meetings to communicate project updates and address concerns.
 
Quality Control and Safety compliancy:
- Ensure all construction activities meet quality standards and project specifications.
 - Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify defects or non-compliance.
 - Maintain accurate documentation of quality control processes.
 - Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on-site.
 - Conduct safety briefings and training sessions for workers.
 - Investigate and report any accidents or incidents promptly
 
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Stakeholders, architects, and contractors, facilitating clear communication throughout the project
 - Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and solutions.
 - Address and resolve any disputes or issues that arise during construction
 
What we’d love for you to have:
We are interested in you as a person; your attitude, behaviours and values. As long as you have the willingness to learn anything you need for the role that you don't already have, we'd love to speak to you. We're looking for someone who has:
- At minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
 
- At least 10 years of experience in construction management or a similar role.
 
- Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects.
 - Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project) as well as with MS Office suits (in particular Excel).
 - Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
 - Excellent leadership and team management abilities, in particular effective communication and interpersonal skills.
 - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
 - Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
 - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
 - Strong organizational and time management skills.
 - Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of flexibility to travel, as projects may be located in various regions or countries.
 - The ability to adapt to changing schedules and environments is essential to meet project demands and deadlines.
