The expansion of the Glass Mineral Wool Engineering Department means we are now looking to recruit a new Project Engineering Manager Fiberizing and Forming Area in Visé, Belgium and who will be reporting to the GMW Technology Manager.

- Can you take charge of the entire project journey, from selecting the best suppliers to ensuring flawless commissioning and performance testing?
As Project Engineering Manager Fiberizing and Forming Area, you'd be owning the forming area process on one or more projects, defining and developing adequate machines and standards, assessing the asset conditions and reporting to users.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage technical projects ranging from €1M to €5M, including plant-specific, brownfield, and greenfield projects.
- Oversee and manage studies related to mechanical engineering, analyze findings, and make informed decisions to address technical challenges and optimize project outcomes.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scopes, schedules, budgets, and contract strategies, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and objectives.
- Coordinate and oversee multidisciplinary teams (engineering, procurement, construction) in a matrix organization to achieve project goals efficiently.
- Provide technical support and guidance across civil, electrical, controls, process, and drafting engineering disciplines, ensuring high-quality design and implementation.
- Monitor and manage project changes, resolve issues, and negotiate with contractors/suppliers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting performance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement by auditing plant equipment, recommending process enhancements, and mentoring engineers to build team expertise.

If you have experience in the following areas – this is an added advantage:
- Engineer or equivalent by experience
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical projects
- Good understanding of control systems
- Experience in fiberizing and/or forming processes in glass industry is a plus
- Good knowledge of computer software tools such as AutoCAD, 3D modeling, Navisworks, MS office, …
- Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
- Willing to travel up to 30% of your time
