The expansion of the Engineering Department means we are now looking to recruit new Project Engineering Manager in Skofja Loka, Slovenia and reporting to the Engineering Manager core equipment RMW.

- Are you familiar with heating process for industrial Oven and/or Dryer
- Can you write equipment technical descriptions?
- Can you manage Tendering, bid comparison and suppliers selection?
- Can you provide commissioning support, including acceptance and performance tests?
As Project Engineering Manager , you'd be leading projects and overseeing various aspects such as feasibility study, scope & budget, Equipment technical description, process diagrams, tendering, planning, construction & commissioning, and more
What you’ll be doing:
- Design and implement plant specific projects, brown and greenfield projects
- Manage technical projects of 1M€ to 15M€ value.
- Establish clear written customer expectations to the equipment and measurements of the objectives at the beginning of each project
- Prepare scopes and estimates with options/alternatives as appropriate to allow the customer to make business decisions and obtain appropriation approval
- Prepare a project implementation plan complete with schedule, project organization, and contract strategy
- Communicate well through periodic reports and reviews with the project team, engineering management, and the customer
- Analyze various options for all phases of project execution, cost savings, schedule improvement
- Manage engineering, planning, control, procurement and construction personnel in a matrix organization to accomplish project objectives
- Motivate project team member and work with the project team members to ensure adequate and timely work to accomplish objectives
- Advise and support civil engineers with the detailed civil design (equipment/building interface)
- Advice and support Electrical & Controls engineers to define and commission control systems
- Support process and drafting engineers with design calculations, P&ID’s, layouts
- Manage project changes to minimize cost, timing and performance impacts and obtain management approval of changes when required
- Resolves issues and coordinate activities by serving as the focal point between the customer, project team and contractors
- Negotiate issues with contractors/suppliers to the best interest of the project
- Deliver the objectives of the project on time, within budget tolerance, and meeting the fitness for use
- Maintain competency and state-of-art knowledge in pertinent aspects of engineering disciplines
- Control and issue technical files to plant team, work out maintenance task lists, give recommendations for spare parts for pre-listed machines
- Participate to network meetings
- Lead the asset management program for your equipment, audit each year several plants, recommend improvements to the process and equipment, troubleshoot/modify/improve their equipment
- Train and mentor other engineers
What we’d love for you to have:

- Mechanical Engineer (Bachelor or Master) or equivalent by experience
- At least 5-10 years of experience in mechanical projects
- Good understanding of Oven or Drying process system
- Who speak English fluently. Any other language is a plus;
- Autonomous, organized, proactive skills
- The capacity to work appropriately as the leader of a team of subcontractors, be as comfortable with the theory as with the practice
- The ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team with engineering and project managers,
- A strong sense of working within deadlines
- The ability to create and maintain a positive relationship
- To be assertive and have self-confidence in presenting and supporting conclusions, having communication and interpersonal skills is essential
- Multi-tasking skills and can prioritize work (while be on different projects and technologies)
- A good knowledge of computer software tools (AutoCAD, 3D modeling, Navisworks, MS office, …)
- The ability to be a creative thinker; search solutions and simplify the situation
