We are looking for passionate, ambitious people to join our 6,000-strong team and help us achieve these goals. We are all led by the same core values and believe in the powerful potential of large companies to have a positive impact on the world.
The expansion of the Digital Manufacturing Department means we are now looking to Manufacturing Process & Data Owner in Visé (Belgium) and reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture.
Can you say ‘yes’?...
Can you turn complex manufacturing processes into clear, standardised SAP-driven ways of working across multiple plants?
Are you confident balancing global template standards with practical local business needs in a manufacturing environment?
Do you have the SAP and process expertise to improve data quality, shop-floor performance and end-to-end operational efficiency?
Can you bring teams together across plants, functions and IT to drive adoption, change and measurable business value?
As a Manufacturing Process & Data Owner you’d be driving the definition, standardization and continuous improvement of SAP-centric manufacturing processes and data for Knauf Insulation. The role maps as-is processes and data, designs the to-be reference model using a fit-to-standard approach in S/4HANA, and ensures that SAP effectively enables stable, efficient and measurable shop-floor operations. In this role, you will coordinate closely with Knauf Group Global Process & Data Owners (GPDOs) to align with the global template, master data standards and sources of truth, and then steers adoption within Knauf Insulation plants.
What you’ll be doing:
SAP-centric process ownership and design
Map as-is manufacturing processes across plants; identify pain points, variances and improvement opportunities.
Define to-be L3/L4 process standards using fit-to-standard principles; align with Group GPDOs and adjacent process areas (e.g., Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Finance).
Document end-to-end processes and decisions in industry-standard notations; maintain clear, version-controlled documentation.
SAP solution enablement and delivery (business ownership)
Translate business process needs into SAP capabilities; prioritize requirements in line with global template governance and value.
Coordinate with IT and implementation partners to ensure the SAP design supports standardized processes and clean data flows across PP and touchpoints to QM, PM/MRO, EWM and CO.
Oversee solution testing from a business perspective (scenario coverage, integration, UAT) and secure business sign-off for releases.
Support deployment readiness and stabilization;
Data stewardship and governance (in alignment with Group GPDOs)
Coordinate the implementation of group-defined master data standards and sources of truth for manufacturing data (e.g., BOMs, routings/recipes, work centers/resources, production versions, inspection plans, maintenance objects).
Define and operate BA/plant-level roles and workflows (RACI) for data creation/change and approvals consistent with group governance.
Monitor data quality and process performance; lead cleansing/harmonization initiatives and escalate proposals for standard changes to Group GPDOs as needed.
Integrations and end-to-end coherence
Specify SAP’s process and data requirements for integrations with shop-floor and adjacent systems; define mappings and reconciliation rules to ensure consistent KPIs and auditability.
Change, adoption and capability building
Assess change impacts on users; develop clear training materials and enable key users to build local capability.
Communicate design decisions, expected benefits and ways of working; facilitate cross-functional alignment and decision-making across sites.
Continuous improvement and performance management
Track process adherence, KPI trends and data quality; identify gaps and implement corrective actions with plant stakeholders.
Contribute to the SAP roadmap for Knauf Insulation by proposing improvements that align with the group template and deliver tangible value.
We are interested in you as a person; your attitude, behaviours and values. As long as you have the willingness to learn anything you need for the role that you don't already have, we'd love to speak to you.
What we’d love for you to have:
7+ years in manufacturing operations, process excellence or digital manufacturing with a strong SAP focus.
Hands-on experience with SAP in manufacturing (ECC6 & S/4HANA preferred) with depth in PP/PP-PI and integration to QM, PM/MRO, EWM and CO.
Proven track record in end-to-end process design using fit-to-standard principles and translating goals into KPIs.
Experience in data stewardship and governance in a manufacturing context (standards, RACI, data quality management), coordinating with global process/data owners.
SAP-centric process ownership mindset with the ability to balance global standardization and pragmatic local enablement.
Ability to distinguish must-have requirements from nice-to-haves within a template governance model.
Clear communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills; strong training and change enablement capabilities.
