The expansion of the Controlling Department means we are now looking to recruit a Central Capex Controller in Visé (BE) and reporting to Financial Analyst Manager.

As a Central Capex Controller, you'd be responsible for financial monthly closing and for preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements related to the capital investment projects. You’d also be in charge of coordinating capex yearly budgeting and quarterly forecast processes and carrying out the continuous monitoring of budget envelopes set by the Group. You’d be responsible for analysis and follow up of engineering profit and loss statement.
What you’ll be doing:
- Realize monthly CAPEX reporting to the key stakeholders, analyze investment projects vs budget and develop automatic reporting solutions. Verify the monthly group reports (GSA reports) and ensure data accuracy between different reporting systems, identifying root causes and solutions.
- Carry out the monthly engineering closing and monitor their performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
- Coordinate the investment forecasting and budgeting process between the plants and Knauf Group, creates the process, check completeness and coherence of data, oversee the respect of deadlines, and prepare overviews for the management.
- Oversee the capitalization process for major investments by performing cost checks, ensuring corrections and allocations to the appropriate assets. Facilitate the creation of assets and prepare cost distributions for accountants to ensure accurate asset structure and reporting.
- Ensure tax and HGB compliance of capital project spending. Oversee that guideline, definitions are followed by regions, plants, engineering. Translates the directives from group into the internal action plans.
- Review or develop financial models for major and special investments that supports management for decision making purpose.

What we’d love for you to have:
- Master’s in finance or economics
- 3-7 years of experience in a similar area
- Comprehensive understanding of Finance and Accounting principles, processes & structures, together with strong financial statement analysis capability
- Experience with accounting standards, capitalization process and IFRS / GAAP requirements towards capex
- Full fluency in English
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office 365 required) with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge of SAP (Purchase to Pay, Project system, Asset management), BW, Tableau and databases
If you have experience in the following areas – this is an added advantage:
- Interest in technical aspects of business, engineering focus
- Knowledge of German or French
