The expansion of the HSEEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, Energy and
Quality) Department means we are now looking to recruit a new HSEEQ Management Systems Technician in Visé, Belgium and reporting to the Management System Manager KI EMEA .

As HSEEQ Management Systems Technician , you'd be supporting the internal education, skills development and general awareness and understanding in Knauf Insulation Europe Middle East and Asia (KI EMEA & APAC) on all topics linked to the management and the maintenance of the ISO certified Knauf Insulation Integrated Management System (KIMS), which encompasses 4 ISO Standards: ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO50001.
With this function you will become a member of the KI EMEA/APAC Health, Safety, Environment, Energy and Quality (HSEEQ) team and interacts with all KI EMEA/APAC locations, regions and central functions to develop and deliver required training linked to KIMS.
The position further support the internal/external communication of topics linked to KIMS and will support the audit program and assist in the development and creation of KIMS documents.
What you’ll be doing:
Develop training materials and deliver training modules for KIMS and all priority topics:
- Engaging the HSEEQ team (and wider KI EMEA/APAC colleagues) to lead the development of content for required training packages
- Developing and proposing presentation methods/tools for engaging training packs
- Ensuring all training packs are controlled documents within the authorized systems (e.g.: KIMS and Build U)
- Delivering training, either in person, online or through e-learning modules (or any other medium that is identified in due course). Note: This role will not be the only member of the HSEEQ team to deliver training, but will certainly play a very active role in timetabling and ensuring adequate knowledge spread throughout KI EMEA/APAC.
- Ensuring all existing training remains valid and is kept up to date
- Ensure content is translated into different user languages when required
- Maintaining a database of the training status of KI trained internal auditors
- Maintaining a database of trained colleagues and competency levels in KIMS training topics (working with Central HR colleagues).
- Developing knowledge of the 4 relevant ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO50001)
- Gaining detailed understanding of all KI Group Procedures and supporting documents
- Becoming an Internal Auditor trainer
- Continually improving the content and value of the Internal Auditor training considering inputs from HSEEQ colleagues and other functions
- Participate in Internal KIMS audits as a member of audit teams
- Support the coordination on audit planning and audit events such as internal auditor training
- Working with the HSEEQ team to communicate on how KIMS can support the delivery of key KI business initiatives.
- Communicating or supporting communication on all KIMS developments (eg. new trainings, audit results, investigation findings, RCAs, newly certified plants, newly certified internal auditors etc).
- Specially creating emails, Yammer campaigns and other awareness initiatives in collaboration with the HSEEQ team
- Working closely with the KI EMEA/APAC Management System Manager to ensure all documents within KIMS are kept up to date, reviewed as required and supporting the further development of new documents to further embed the KIMS system in KI.
- Provide team support in drafting documents as appropriate
What we’d love for you to have:
We are interested in you as a person; your attitude, behaviors and values. As long as you have the willingness to learn anything you need for the role that you don't already have, we'd love to speak to you. We're looking for someone who has :
- A degree level or similar professional qualification in a relevant topic or subject, ideally HSEEQ
- A track record in developing and delivering training for improvement in a wide range of subject areas and some knowledge of potential training mediums/systems (eg. E-learning)
- A track record in developing communication messages to support strategic aims
- An experience in maintaining records and documents in a defined system
- Some knowledge of any of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001 would be a plus
- Some Continuous Improvement experience would be a plus
- Fluency in English. French, German or other language(s) would be an asset
- The ability to work across a large (matrix) organization with various levels and varying objectives
- The ability to deliver compelling training as required (and to critically assess other training programs in order to propose improvements)
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, rigorous
- The ability to analyze, and synthetize complex information and apply creativity to create visual and easy to digest content
- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing; to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- The capacity to act as a role model when it regards HSEEQ values (safety behavior, quality mindset…)
- Demonstrated the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated the ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce.
